After the parts have been clearcoated and properly dried with an extra coat of clear they are taken to a sanding station to be sanded using 1200, 2000, 3000 grit paper. This smoothes out all of the normal texture due to application.
They then move on to get mechanically buffed using two different application pads and three different compounds leaving a glass like finish.
